What we collect

When you use our quote, contact, brochure or review forms or our chat assistant, we collect what you choose to send us, which may include:

• your name, email address and phone number
• your town or area and details about your property and project
• the products you are interested in, your messages and any review or rating you give

If you become a customer we will also hold the details needed to survey, quote, install and guarantee your work, such as your address, order and payment records. Our web host also keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) to run and secure the site.

How and why we use it

• To respond to your enquiry and provide quotes, surveys and brochures. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
• To carry out and guarantee work you order from us, on the basis of our contract with you.
• To keep records required by law, such as accounting and tax records, on the basis of legal obligation.
• To protect our website and forms from spam and abuse, on the basis of our legitimate interests.
• To publish reviews. We will only publish a review you send us with your permission, showing your first name and area at most.

We do not sell your information or use it for automated decision-making. We will only send you marketing if you have asked us to, and you can opt out at any time.

Who we share it with

We only share your information with service providers who help us run the business and website, under contracts that require them to protect it:

• our website hosting provider
• Resend, which delivers the messages you send through our forms to our inbox
• Google, which provides our Gmail inbox, and where relevant our accountants, installers and suppliers fulfilling your order

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or adequacy regulations.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not lead to an order: up to 2 years after we last hear from you.
• Customer and order records: 6 years after the work is completed, or longer while a product guarantee is still running.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict or stop using it, object to how we use it, and ask for it to be transferred to someone else. Contact us at southparkglazing@gmail.com and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
